The Association, a leadership group for 4th and 5th grade boys at Creekside, recently held a Skype session with Nick Cattles. “The Nick Cattles Show” is an afternoon sports talk show on ESPN Radio 94.1 FM – Hampton Roads.
The group is sponsored by Erik Johnson and Joel Tise- CES PE teachers, Robert Brennan- CES Assistant Principal, and Brian Williams- SPS Director of Food and Nutrition Services.
Jon Bell, Chief Petty Officer, US Navy, also spoke to the group in December. Future planned speakers include Dr. Deran Whitney, SPS Superintendent, and Josh Worrell, Clint Wright and Ed Young- basketball coaches for SPS high schools.
The members of The Association pride themselves on being responsible role models and helpful students.The Association recently collected and counted all the cans for the CES canned food drive, and the boys are always available to help teachers carry and move things from their cars and classrooms.
